ATLANTA, GA — The fall hiring calendar across metro Atlanta has been unusually spread out this year, and that is good news if you can drive. The September rush, from on-the-spot hospital offers in Lawrenceville to a two-day Gwinnett County police hiring push, is behind us, and so are the October 7 fair downtown, the two October 13 fairs in Decatur and Jonesboro, and the Southside Works fair at Pittsburgh Yards. Still ahead: a community fair in Powder Springs and a Clayton County Public Schools hiring night in Morrow on October 21, a general-audience fair at Perimeter Center and Macy's holiday hiring day on October 22, and Atlanta's sports teams recruiting at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on October 27. Almost everyone in the metro has one within reasonable reach.

GVRA Career Connections and Resource Fair — Wednesday, September 9

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Atlanta Metropolitan State College, southwest Atlanta

Six hours, which is the longest window on this list, run by the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. Employers across a range of industries and experience levels, plus resource providers in the same room. Worth being clear about who this is for: GVRA's focus is employment for people with disabilities, but the agency has opened this event to all community members looking for work, career exploration or resources. Registration is through a form on GVRA's site. Confirm the campus building and parking with the agency before you drive over.

Northside Cherokee Patient Access Job Fair — Monday, September 14

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Northside Hospital Cherokee, Canton area

This event has passed.

Patient access is the front end of a hospital: registration, scheduling, insurance verification, check-in. These are non-clinical roles, no license required, and they are one of the most reliable ways into a health system for someone with customer service or administrative experience. Northside lists this on its own careers calendar for four hours on the Monday. Check the exact building on Northside's events page before you go, since the Cherokee campus is large.

Northside Gwinnett and Duluth Surgical Services Hiring Event — Tuesday, September 15

4:00 – 7:00 p.m. | Gwinnett Resource Center, 665 Duluth Highway, Suite 101, Lawrenceville

The highest-value event on this list if you are the right person for it. Northside is running on-the-spot interviews and making offers the same evening for operating room roles at its Gwinnett and Duluth hospitals: experienced OR Circulator RNs, OR Charge Preceptor RN, OR Clinical Supervisor, OR Department Coordinator, and experienced Surgical Technologists.

⚠️ Read this before you show up: every role listed is an experienced OR position. New graduates, med-surg nurses without OR time and non-surgical staff are not what this event is recruiting for. There is also a registration step people miss. Northside asks you to apply to the open position through its careers site first, and that application is how you register. Turning up without having applied puts you at the back of the line.

Jobs, Careers and Opportunity Expo — Thursday, September 17

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency, Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW

Hosted by the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency, a nonprofit whose whole model is getting people into sustainable work, with employers recruiting across hospitality, business services, logistics, customer service and transportation. On-the-spot interviews are part of the format. Open to everyone from recent graduates to seasoned professionals. Registration runs through Eventbrite. Confirm the street address with ACSS before you head to the west side.

DAV RecruitMilitary Atlanta Veterans Job Fair — Thursday, September 17

This event has passed.

The strongest employer list of any event this fall, and it is free for veterans, military spouses, transitioning service members, and Guard and Reserve members. Organizations already registered as exhibitors include MARTA, Truist, XPO, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Cobb County Department of Public Safety, Gwinnett County Public Schools, Veolia North America, Lendmark Financial, Novolex, Maxim Crane Works, Mapei, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and South University. RecruitMilitary says its events average over 50 exhibitors and the list is not final until the day of.

Confirm the venue before you drive. Listings for this event disagree about where it is being held, with some pointing to the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park and the organizer's own page showing a different part of the metro. Register through RecruitMilitary and use the address in your confirmation, not one you read somewhere else.

Gwinnett County Police Hiring Event — Friday and Saturday, September 18–19

Friday 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. | Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Gwinnett County Police Training Center, Winder Highway, Lawrenceville

Not a table-and-handshake event. Gwinnett County Police is the second largest agency in Georgia, and this weekend is built so you can complete the entire first phase of a two-phase hiring process in one visit: physical ability test, orientation, the full application, and an oral interview. Conditional job offers may be extended on the day. Budget two to three hours, possibly more. Recruits are paid a salary while they go through academy training, which matters if you cannot afford an unpaid gap. Bring water and something to eat.

Atlanta Job Fair — Wednesday, October 7

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown, 275 Baker St NW

This event has passed.

The general-audience event of the fall, run by Best Hire Career Fairs at the same downtown hotel they use every time, a short walk from Centennial Olympic Park and easy off MARTA. Employers typically span hospitality, healthcare, customer service, sales, logistics, technology and professional services, at everything from entry level to management. Past exhibitors have included CVS Health, Canon, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Fulton County Board of Health and the Peace Corps, though participation changes by date. Admission was free.

New Life Community Alliance Fall Career Fair — Tuesday, October 13

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | New Life Church, Flat Shoals Road, Decatur

This event has passed.

A community-run fair on the south DeKalb side, with employers hiring for full-time, part-time and internship roles across a range of industries. Four hours and a general audience, which made it a reasonable option for anyone who missed the downtown October date or would rather not fight the connector.

2026 Clayton County Career Fair — Tuesday, October 13

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Mt. Zion Baptist Church Activities and Recreation Center, 7102 Mt. Zion Blvd., Jonesboro

Clayton County Government's own hiring fair, a few minutes off I-75 near Southlake, where job seekers talked directly with county departments. The county's payroll runs from police, fire and court services to parks and public works, with a defined benefit pension attached. If you missed it, the county job line is 770-473-5800.

Southside Works Fall Career Fair — Thursday, October 15

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Pittsburgh Yards, 352 University Avenue SW, Atlanta

Southside Works, an Atlanta workforce collaborative focused on connecting south side residents with training and jobs, brought its fall fair to Pittsburgh Yards, just off the Beltline's Southside Trail. The organizer named technology, healthcare and finance among the industries recruiting, with representatives talking through open positions and internships, plus information on no-cost training in fields like technology and logistics.

Linked UP Church Community Job Fair — Wednesday, October 21

10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Linked UP Church, 4331 Brownsville Road, Powder Springs

A free community fair in west Cobb with more than 40 employers and vendors, on-the-spot interviews and, from some employers, on-the-spot hiring. That count mixes hiring companies with resource vendors and the employer list has not been published, but the church says employers are coming from across the metro, not just Powder Springs. It also runs a free clothing closet stocked with business attire, a grocery giveaway and a business center on site, so you can pick up interview clothes and print a fresh resume the same morning. Open to everyone, no church membership needed, though graduates of the church's Job Link program get top priority. Register free through the church's job fair page.

Clayton County Public Schools Career Carnival — Wednesday, October 21

5:00 – 7:00 p.m. | The Morrow Center, Morrow

Clayton County Public Schools is recruiting for classified, non-teaching jobs in four areas: transportation, facilities and maintenance, nutrition, and safety and security. The district has not named specific openings on its event page and has not posted a street address for the venue, so check current vacancies on the CCPS careers page before you go and call the district at 770-473-2700 with questions. It is an evening slot, which suits people already working days, and these are public-sector jobs on a school calendar.

Atlanta Career Fair — Thursday, October 22

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Perimeter Center, Lake Hearn Drive NE

Choice Career Fairs brings its recurring Atlanta event to Perimeter Center, inside the Perimeter and convenient to Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven and anyone coming down 400. Face-to-face with recruiters across a general employer mix. Register through Eventbrite. It is the last general-audience fair on this list, so if September got away from you, this is the one to circle.

Macy's Holiday Hiring Day — Thursday, October 22

Hours vary by store | Macy's stores across metro Atlanta, from Lenox Square to the Mall of Georgia

Macy's holds the second of its three national holiday hiring days the same Thursday, and you can walk into any of its metro stores, including Lenox Square, Perimeter Mall, Cumberland Mall, Town Center at Cobb, North Point, the Mall of Georgia, Snellville and Southlake, to apply for seasonal store jobs. No registration is needed, but times vary by store, so call ahead and apply online first. Atlanta is not on Macy's list of top hiring markets this year and no local headcount has been published. AMB Sports & Entertainment Career Expo — Tuesday, October 27

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Mercedes-Benz Stadium, 1 AMB Drive NW, Atlanta

Hiring managers from the Falcons, Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Hawks and about a dozen sports and entertainment organizations in all, in a four-hour expo run by TeamWork Online with AMB Sports & Entertainment. The catch: it is not free. Admission comes bundled with a game ticket, $55 to $65 before fees, bought through the official Eventbrite page, and parking is not included, so MARTA to Vine City is the easy way in. The organizer advertises more than 280 open jobs across the area but has not published titles, so come ready to talk about what you can do, whether that is sales, marketing or event work.

🔎 How to Pick the Right Ones

Five events still ahead, from Powder Springs and Morrow to Perimeter Center and the stadium. Sort yourself by what you actually do:

  • Transportation, maintenance, school nutrition and security: October 21 in Morrow, where Clayton County Public Schools is recruiting for those classified jobs.
  • Seasonal retail for the holidays: October 22 at your nearest Macy's. Walk in with your real holiday availability.
  • Sports, events and front-office work: October 27 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Budget for the ticket that comes with admission.
  • Need interview clothes as well as a job: October 21 in Powder Springs. Free business attire and a business center on site, plus on-the-spot interviews.
  • No specific target, just need a job: October 21 in Powder Springs or October 22 at Perimeter. Pick by which drive you would rather make.

What to Bring to Any of Them

  • Printed resumes, more than you think you need
  • Photo ID, and your registration confirmation on your phone
  • License and certification numbers if you work in a credentialed field
  • Employment dates, addresses and references, since several of these have you apply on site
  • A short self-introduction you have actually said out loud
  • A notebook for recruiter names, so you can follow up inside 48 hours

⚠️ Confirm Before You Drive

Metro Atlanta is a two-hour drive corner to corner in traffic, and a wrong address costs you the day. Event listings in this region get republished across half a dozen calendars, and they do not always agree. We verified what we could directly with organizers, and where a venue or a street address was not confirmed by the host itself, we have named the venue and the area rather than printing an address we could not stand behind.

So: register through the organizer, and use the address in your confirmation email.

What It Means for Job Seekers

Atlanta's payrolls have been roughly flat this year. The Bureau of Labor Statistics put the Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Roswell metro at about 3.11 million nonfarm jobs in July 2026, a slight decrease from a year earlier. Flat is not the same as frozen, though, and it changes the math on how you search: when employers are not expanding headcount aggressively, the openings that exist get filled through people recruiters have actually met. That is the whole argument for showing up in person this fall rather than firing resumes into portals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Atlanta job fairs free?

Most of the events on this list do not charge job seekers admission. Several ask you to register in advance, which is also free. The one exception is the October 27 stadium expo, where admission is sold as a package with an Atlanta United or Falcons game ticket. Outside of a clearly ticketed expo like that one, if a listing asks you to pay to attend a job fair as a candidate, treat that as a warning sign.

Which one has the most employers?

Among the events still ahead, the October 22 Perimeter fair is the broadest general-audience fair. The October 27 stadium expo names about a dozen sports and entertainment organizations.

Do I have to live in the city of Atlanta?

No, and most of these are not in the city proper. This list runs from Canton in Cherokee County down to Jonesboro and Morrow in Clayton County, with stops in Lawrenceville, Decatur, Powder Springs and Dunwoody. People commute across this metro every day for work, and it is normal to cross two counties for a good opening.

Which events restrict who can attend?

The two restricted events on this list, the September 15 Northside event for experienced operating room staff and the September 17 veterans fair, have both passed. Everything still ahead is open to the general public, though the October 27 stadium expo requires a paid ticket.

Will more events be added?

Yes. Metro Atlanta's workforce boards and Goodwill of North Georgia add hiring events weekly, and employers often announce walk-in events with a week or two of notice. October and November are still filling in. We update this guide as new dates are confirmed.
