📅 The Four Dates and Where to Go
Every stop below is listed on Schneider's own recruiting events calendar. Pick the one closest to your side of the Perimeter.
- Tuesday, Nov. 17, 3:00 – 5:30 PM | Georgia Driving Academy, 1035 Sigman Road NE, Conyers, GA 30012. East side, along the I-20 corridor. Held at a CDL school, so it's a natural fit for students closing in on their license.
- Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2:00 – 5:00 PM | Katlaw, 5000 Austell Powder Springs Road, Austell, GA 30106. The Cobb County stop, handy for drivers out toward Powder Springs, Mableton and Douglasville.
- Monday, Nov. 23, 3:00 – 6:00 PM | Schneider, 3300 International Park Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. This one is at Schneider's own location in southeast Atlanta, and it's the latest-running window of the four.
- Tuesday, Nov. 24, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Goodwill Stockbridge, 3863 Highway 138 SE, Stockbridge, GA 30281. The only morning slot, and the Henry County option for south-side drivers.
The Monday and Tuesday events fall the week of Thanksgiving. Call 800-44-PRIDE before you head out if your plans depend on a specific stop.
🔥 Who Schneider Wants to Talk To
Schneider describes these events as open to two groups: experienced drivers who want a change, and newcomers just starting out in trucking. Recruiters cover two very different paths. Company driver jobs put you in a carrier's truck on its payroll. Owner-operator contracting is for drivers who run their own equipment and want freight under a carrier's authority.
Three partner carriers are listed alongside Schneider at every stop: Midwest Logistics Systems, Cowan Systems and M&M Transport Services. That gives you more than one fleet to compare in a single conversation.
What the event pages don't say matters too. Schneider hasn't posted pay figures, a headcount, or specific license or experience requirements for these events, and it describes them as no-commitment conversations rather than on-the-spot hiring. Treat each one as a chance to get real answers about pay, lanes and home time, then apply when the fit is right.
📋 How to Show Up Ready
- RSVP on the event's page so the recruiter knows to expect you.
- Bring your CDL or learner's permit, and know your driving record before you sit down.
- Have your work history for the past few years handy. Trucking applications ask for it in detail.
- Come with questions: home time, typical lanes out of Atlanta, equipment, and how pay is calculated.
- Still shopping for a CDL program? The Georgia Department of Driver Services keeps a list of CDL training schools across the state.
